Who We Are

We are Delaware’s largest provider of day, vocational, and residential services for people with cognitive disabilities including mental retardation, mental illness, behavior disorders, and autism. Our award winning services and facilities are licensed by the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services and accredited by CARF. Funding is available through state sources. Funding eligibility is determined by the state.

Clinical/Behavioral and Case Management Services

We provide case management and develop behavioral support plans. Participants learn to manage their behavior in order to acquire new skills and move toward less restrictive work and living arrangements.

Chimes Delaware provides nursing services, coordination of medical services, behavioral assessments, and other services that enhance the quality of life, physical and mental health of each program participant.

Day Services

New Beginnings provides participants requiring more support and supervision with access to a rich diversity of activities and trainings through the “clubhouse” concept.

The Alternative Enrichment Program provides consumers a person-centered approach to its delivery of services. These services are designed to offer additional options to individuals who seek an alternative to pre-vocational or supported employment programs.

Residential Support Services

Chimes Delaware supports adults with a wide range of intellectual and physical disabilities.  Supports can include recreational and leisure activities, support with personal care, support with nutritional consultation, nursing and medical services, behavioral and psychiatric support as well as support with transportation.

We work with local schools to provide transitional services for students with developmental disabilities as they age out of the public school system and transfer from school to adult services.
